For setting up an own business, attending a workshop with Big Ideas Wales –
George Savva – IFF business
I am interested in running my own business in the future, ideas being around art and creative industries. One of the main being a Mural business – getting commissions from private and public organisations who want murals or public art work.
I also look at my other hobbies and interests such as
Cooking, travelling, and music, working with children and people in general . (with drawing and painting)
How can I relate to these together with painting/fine art to make a business idea?
- What is something that isn’t offered in the UK?
- Will it be an existing service, but improving this service?
- How is it different/unique
— Setting up own small shop that sells home made state of the art cakes (cake boss and choccywoccydodah) that also has a joined Music shop selling exclusively old school Hip-hop music/merchandise, Hip hop specialised events, the history of hip hop, installations/art works that explore music form – a map of music (e.g. in school of rock the music map)——
—– Children’s after school club during term time – art lessons —
A ttitude – Being confident and having the right attitude to continue and follow through my idea. e.g. proving others that it can work and the possibilities of it
C reation – being able to create something that is individual and features of the product/service that are different
R ealtionhips – Having contacts that matter: ‘ the 6 degrees of separation ‘ – Having relationships with people who are perhaps former entrepreneurs or founders of their own businesses may have better opportunities for my new idea/product to sell better, to make more money, be more effective, more well known, improvements of the business, etc.
